Landslide Hazards Along the Interstate 80 Corridor Associated with the Early Oligocene Sedimentary and Volcanic Deposits in the Sierra Nevada

Summary: This presentation gives a summary of collaborative research by a consortium of geoscientists and geotechnical consultants dealing with the landslide hazards associated with the problematic Early Tertiary smectitic sediments referenced in the California Geological Survey’s Geologic Hazard Notice for Smectite Sediments and characterized in the two other GSA Conference slide presentations.
